About SmartPDFConvert

SmartPDFConvert is an independent online toolbox for people who need to work with PDF files without installing desktop software or creating an account. The site lives at smartpdfconvert.online and is operated by Rohan Chaurasiya in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Most document chores are the same: combine a handful of scans, pull a few pages out of a long report, shrink a file so it will attach to email, turn a Word draft into something that looks the same on every computer, or lock a file before you send it. Those jobs should not require a subscription or a signup form. That is why every tool on this site is free to use.

How the tools work

The converters and editors run in your web browser. When you open Merge PDF, Compress PDF, or a similar tool, the file you select is processed on your own device with JavaScript. We do not operate a file-upload conversion API, and we do not keep copies of the documents you open in the tools. If a file is too large for your device memory, or your browser cannot complete the job, you will see an error on the page rather than a silent upload to our servers.

You still need a working internet connection to load the website, fonts, and scripts. How we handle files and technical logs is described in our Privacy Policy. Loading the site does not send your PDF contents to an advertising network.

What you can do here

The homepage groups tools into five areas. Organize PDF covers merge, split, compress, rotate, crop, repair, and page removal. Convert to PDF accepts Word, PowerPoint, Excel, images, and HTML. Convert from PDF exports to Word, PowerPoint, Excel, JPG, PDF/A, and Markdown. Edit PDF covers annotations, page numbers, watermarks, and OCR for scanned pages. Security tools let you protect or unlock a file when you are allowed to do so, add a signature, redact text, or compare two versions of a document.

We built the interface so you can finish a task in a few steps: choose a tool, add files, set options, and download the result. There is no credit system and no watermark added by SmartPDFConvert on the files you produce.

Who it is for

Students use the site to combine lecture notes or compress submissions that exceed a portal limit. Freelancers and small offices use it to send proposals, invoices, and signed PDFs without buying a desktop suite for a one-off job. Anyone who prefers not to install extra software can run the same workflows from a phone or a laptop, as long as the browser is reasonably current and JavaScript is enabled.

The tools are utilities, not a records-management system. Keep your own copies of important originals. Do not process files you are not allowed to handle. Password-removal and redaction features exist so people can work with documents they own or are authorized to change; they are not an invitation to break encryption on someone else's files.
