Many SmartPDFConvert tools are designed to run entirely in your web browser. When a tool uses client-side processing, your files are not uploaded to our servers for that operation. Conversion and editing happen locally on your device using JavaScript in your browser memory.

2. Server-side processing and file retention

Some tools may require temporary server-side processing when browser-only conversion is not possible or when you explicitly choose a server-based workflow. When files are uploaded for server conversion:

  • Files are used only to perform the requested conversion or operation.
  • Uploaded files are automatically deleted within 1 hour of upload or completion of processing, whichever comes first.
  • We do not use uploaded file contents for training, marketing profiles, or resale.

3. Information we do not collect from your documents

We do not intentionally collect or store the contents of your PDFs or other documents beyond what is strictly necessary for the service you request, and only for the retention period described above.

  • We do not require account registration to use free tools.
  • We do not sell personal data.

4. Automatically collected information

Like most websites, we may automatically receive standard technical data when you visit our site, such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL, and pages viewed. This data helps us maintain security, diagnose errors, and understand general usage patterns.

If you use our Contact page, your message may be sent through your own email application. We only receive the information you choose to include in that message and use it solely to respond to your inquiry.

8. Children's privacy

SmartPDFConvert is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
