This Privacy Policy describes how SmartPDFConvert (“we”, “us”, or “the site”) treats information when you visit https://smartpdfconvert.online or use the PDF tools on this domain. The site is operated by Rohan Chaurasiya in Kathmandu, Nepal.

1. Your documents

The PDF tools on SmartPDFConvert are designed to run in your browser. When you select a file, it is read locally so the page can merge, split, compress, convert, or otherwise transform it on your device. We do not provide a conversion API that receives your documents, and we do not store the contents of your PDFs, Word files, spreadsheets, images, or other uploads on our servers.

Files you download after a conversion are saved through your browser’s normal download behavior on your device. We cannot retrieve those results later because we never received them.

You are responsible for the files you choose to process. Do not open documents that contain information you are not allowed to handle on the device you are using.

2. Accounts and payments

We do not require registration. We do not sell subscriptions for the core tools, and we do not collect payment card details. Because there is no account system, we do not hold usernames, passwords, or profile records.

3. Information collected automatically

When you load a page, our hosting provider and the browsers involved in delivering the site may log ordinary technical data. That typically includes your IP address, browser type and version, device type, approximate location derived from IP, the pages you request, the time of the request, and the referring URL. This kind of log data is used to keep the site available, to diagnose errors, and to understand aggregate traffic (for example, which tools are opened most often).

We do not use document contents to build marketing profiles.

4. Cookies and advertising

SmartPDFConvert may display advertisements through HilltopAds. That network loads a script from its delivery domain and may use cookies or similar technology to choose and measure ads. HilltopAds does not receive the contents of the PDF files you process in the browser.

Your browser may also store ordinary site data needed to load pages (for example files cached by the browser itself). Hosting infrastructure may use cookies or similar technology as part of delivering the website.

5. Other third parties

The site is hosted on infrastructure that may process the technical logs described above. Scripts, fonts, and libraries needed to run the tools are served from our own domain where possible. If a page loads a resource from another domain, that provider may receive the request metadata that normally accompanies a web request (such as IP address and user agent). Document files are not sent to those providers as part of a conversion.

If you follow a link to another website, that site’s privacy policy applies. We are not responsible for third-party pages.

6. Messages you send us

The on-site form opens your own email application; we do not store form submissions in a database on this website. We use contact details only to reply to your question and to keep a record of the conversation in ordinary email or phone history.

7. Children

SmartPDFConvert is a general-audience utility site. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it from our inbox where we can identify it.

8. Retention

We do not retain document files because we do not receive them. Hosting logs are kept only as long as the hosting provider retains them for operations and security. Emails you send are kept as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up.

9. Security

We use HTTPS for the website. Browser-side processing reduces the chance that document contents travel to our servers, but no website can promise perfect security. Protect the device you use, and do not leave downloaded files on a shared computer if they are confidential.

10. Changes

We may change this Privacy Policy when the site or hosting setup changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when the text was last revised. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
