Reorder every page in a PDF
Type a complete page order such as 3,1,2 to shuffle a short document without a desktop editor.
How to reorder PDF pages
Scanners sometimes deliver pages back to front. Exported slides may put a title page at the end. This tool rebuilds the file from a comma-separated list that must include every page exactly once.
If the PDF has 5 pages, a valid list looks like 5,1,2,3,4 or 1,3,2,5,4. 1,2,3 is invalid because two pages are missing. That strict check prevents silent data loss.
Reordering copies pages into a new document in the browser. It does not provide a thumbnail board. For long books, split into chapters, reorder each part, then merge.
- Open Organize PDF and add a single PDF.
- Count the pages in a viewer, then type every page number once, in the order you want, separated by commas. For a three-page file that should start on the current last page, type 3,1,2.
- Click Reorder pages. The tool rejects the list if a number is missing, repeated, or out of range.
- Download the shuffled PDF and check the first and last page.
How page order works
This is a precise shuffle, not a visual organizer. If you only need to delete a blank sheet, use Remove Pages. If you only need a subset, use Split PDF extract mode.
- Requires a complete comma list covering every page.
- Rejects incomplete or duplicate indexes so pages are not dropped by accident.
- Copies page content rather than flattening to images.
- Works on one PDF at a time.
- Runs entirely in the browser.
Privacy when you reorganize pages
The PDF never leaves your browser for this operation. The new order exists only in the file you download.
Reordering does not hide pages; it only changes sequence. Remove or redact content you should not share. See the Privacy Policy.
Frequently asked questions
No. The list must be a permutation of all pages. Duplicate a page in another editor or merge the file with a one-page extract of that sheet.
No. Printed numbers in the artwork stay as drawn. Use Add Page Numbers if you need a fresh overlay.
Those values are ignored or cause the list not to match the page count, and the tool shows an error instead of producing a broken file.
