Pull PDF lines into an Excel sheet
Extract text lines into spreadsheet rows when you need to work with figures, not when you need a perfect table clone.
How to convert PDF to Excel
True table reconstruction from arbitrary PDFs is hard. This tool maps text lines to rows so you can sort and filter. Multi-column invoices may need manual splits.
Image-only PDFs yield empty sheets until OCR has created a text layer.
Work stays in the browser. Do not treat the XLSX as audited accounting data without checking it.
- Open PDF to Excel and add a PDF that has a text layer. Scanned statements should go through OCR PDF first.
- Click Convert to Excel. Lines of text become rows in an XLSX.
- Open the workbook and use Excel’s Text to Columns if a line still holds several fields.
- Always check totals. Extraction is not a bank-grade parser for every statement layout.
PDF to spreadsheet
If a bank already offers CSV download, prefer that over PDF extraction.
- Writes an .xlsx from extracted text lines.
- Does not guarantee column mapping for every invoice layout.
- Needs a text layer or a prior OCR pass.
- No upload to a data-extraction API.
- You remain responsible for checking numbers.
Privacy for financial PDFs
Statements contain account data. They are processed on your device, but the XLSX you save is still sensitive. Store it like the original PDF.
