Guide
Export each PDF page as a JPG
Rasterize pages when a website, chat app, or printer workflow wants images instead of a PDF.
How to convert PDF pages to JPG
Some systems still refuse PDF. Page images also help when you want to markup a sheet in a photo editor. This is a one-way raster: you lose selectable text in the JPG.
PDF.js draws each page in the browser. Long documents produce many files; give the tab time.
Nothing is uploaded to a conversion server.
- Open PDF to JPG and add the PDF.
- Click Export JPG pages. Each page is rendered and packed for download (typically as a zip of images).
- Open a sample image to check sharpness. Small text on A4 at default render scale can look soft if you zoom.
- Use the JPGs in the other app, or rebuild a PDF with JPG to PDF if you only needed an intermediate raster.
PDF to images
If you need both a picture and searchable text, keep the original PDF and the JPGs.
- One JPG per page.
- Good for portals that block PDF.
- Text becomes pixels; you cannot search the JPG.
- Can be slow on large page counts.
- Local rendering only.
Privacy for page images
Page bitmaps are created on your device. A JPG of a passport is still a passport photo. Handle downloads accordingly.
