Guide
Convert a PowerPoint PPTX to PDF
Make a PPTX shareable as a PDF when the recipient should not need PowerPoint.
How to convert PowerPoint to PDF
A PDF of a deck is useful for email, print, and portals that block PPTX. This tool reads PPTX in the browser and writes one PDF page per slide where the conversion supports it.
Animations, transitions, embedded video, and some SmartArt will not play in PDF. Think of the output as a static handout.
No conversion server receives the deck. Very large media-heavy PPTX files may hit browser memory limits.
- Open PowerPoint to PDF and add a .pptx file. Save older .ppt decks as PPTX first.
- Click Convert to PDF and wait while slides are turned into PDF pages.
- Download the PDF and check slide order, speaker-note omission, and image crops.
- For a pixel-perfect board-ready deck, export PDF from PowerPoint, then use this site only for merge or protect.
PowerPoint conversion notes
If a logo sits in the wrong place, the converter simplified the slide. Re-export from PowerPoint for that file.
- Accepts .pptx, not binary .ppt.
- Produces a static PDF suitable for reading and print.
- Does not preserve animations or slide shows.
- Runs in the browser without a Microsoft account.
- Does not upload slides to SmartPDFConvert.
Privacy for PPTX files
Decks can contain speaker notes and cropped pictures still stored in the file. This converter may not strip those. Clean the PPTX if it is confidential.
Processing is local. See the Privacy Policy.
Frequently asked questions
No. PDF pages are still frames. Export a video from PowerPoint if you need motion.
Treat notes as possibly omitted. Open the PDF and search; if they must never appear, delete notes in PowerPoint first.
Convert the whole deck, then use Split PDF or Remove Pages on the result.
