Delete selected pages from a PDF
Drop blank sheets, extra covers, or an appendix you must not send, by listing the page numbers to remove.
How to remove pages from a PDF
Use this when a scan includes a blank first sheet, a duplicate signature page, or a confidential annex. You list what should go, not what should stay.
Numbers are 1-based. 1,3,5-7 removes those pages and keeps the rest in order. You cannot remove every page, because that would produce an empty file.
Deletion copies the kept pages into a new PDF in the browser. The original on disk is unchanged until you replace it yourself.
- Open Remove Pages and add the PDF.
- Type the pages to delete, for example 1,3 or 2-4. These are the pages that will disappear.
- Click Remove pages. The tool stops you if the list would delete every page.
- Download the shorter PDF and confirm the remaining page count.
Removal rules
Removing a page does not redact text on pages you keep. If a social security number still appears on page 2, use Redact PDF on the result.
For pulling a few pages out as a new file while leaving the original intact as-is, Split PDF extract mode is clearer than delete-and-save.
- Accepts lists and ranges such as 1,4-6.
- Keeps remaining pages in their original relative order.
- Blocks a request that would leave zero pages.
- Does not overwrite your source file automatically.
- Runs locally with no conversion server.
Privacy when you delete pages
Pages are dropped only in the new file you download. The original still contains those pages until you delete it.

Frequently asked questions
The new file should not include those page objects. The original file still has them. Some PDF viewers cache; open the download from disk to verify.
Unlock it first if you have the password and the right to change the file, then remove pages from the unlocked copy.
Printed contents pages and link targets are not rewritten. Check bookmarks after a big deletion.
