Guide
Rotate PDF pages 90, 180, or 270 degrees
Fix sideways scans or a last page that exported upside down, for the whole file or a page list.
How to rotate pages in a PDF
Phone scans and mixed photocopiers often leave a page on its side. This tool adds rotation to the page objects. Viewers then display the sheet the right way up without you re-exporting from a camera app.
An empty page list means all pages. A list such as 2,3 rotates only those. Rotation is cumulative with any rotation already stored in the file, which is why a page that was already turned may need 180° instead of 90°.
The file is processed locally. Rotation does not resample images, so quality stays the same. Crop boxes stay attached to the page.
- Open Rotate PDF and add your file.
- Pick 90°, 180°, or 270°. 90° turns landscape scans that should be portrait.
- Leave the page field empty to rotate every page, or enter a list such as 1,4-6.
- Run Rotate PDF, download the result, and open it to confirm the reading direction.
Rotation options
If only the crop is wrong and the content is already upright, Crop PDF is the better tool. If a page is in the wrong place in the sequence, use Organize PDF.
- 90, 180, or 270 degree turns.
- Optional page list; blank means the whole document.
- Preserves image quality because pixels are not recompressed.
- Works on one PDF at a time.
- No account and no server conversion queue.
Privacy when you rotate a PDF
Rotation edits page dictionaries in the browser. We do not receive the document.
A rotated ID scan is still an ID scan. Handle personal documents according to your own rules. How we handle files is described in the Privacy Policy.
Frequently asked questions
That page may already store a rotation. Try 180° or 270°, or rotate only that page number.
Not in a single run. Rotate one set, download, then rotate another set on the new file.
If the viewer shows the page upright after download, printers that honor page rotation should match. If a driver ignores rotation, print from a viewer that has a rotate-for-print option.
